Hudson Valley Park is one of 60 autonomous Parks of Study & Reflection that have been built around the world by volunteers of the Humanist Movement and The Community of Silo’s Message. These Parks form a global constellation of communities dedicated to developing the human consciousness, promoting the study and advancement of nonviolence, and connecting to the sacred within and around us. They are an expression of the new spirit awakening in the hearts of people who search to go beyond religious, cultural and ethnic differences to the profound meaning of our common humanity.

*The Healing of Suffering was delivered in the heights of the Andean Mountains by Silo in Argentina on May 4, 1969 in spite of the dictatorship that tried to suppress it.  49 years later, it is even more relevant.  It is Silo’s first public expression of his ideas. In poetic language, he explains that the most important knowledge for living (“true wisdom”) is not the same as the knowledge found in books but is a question of inner experience. That this knowledge is related to comprehending suffering and how to surpass it.  The talk went on to inspire millions of people over the years and launched a worldwide movement to Humanize the Earth and build communities of Silo’s Message.

Hudson Valley Park June Anniversary Event

The Hudson Valley Park’s Annual Event takes place every year on June 21 (or the closest weekend) in an expression of gratitude to the friends, volunteers and supporters of the Park.  This date coincides with the Summer Seasonal Celebration and commemorates the date when Hudson Valley Park was founded – June 21, 2010.

Seasonal Gatherings take place every solstice and equinox and are dedicated to celebrating the change of seasons. These events are social and spiritual with shared meals, ceremonies, hiking and discussions.  A perfect time to take a pause and enjoy the best of all worlds: nature, spirituality, meditation and meeting like-minded people.
